City of Los Angeles Laurel Canyon Boulevard Green Street Design-Build

CWE designed and performed construction management for roadway widening, sidewalk improvements, and over 2,100 square feet of bioretention systems and 13 dry-wells along 1,000 linear feet of Laurel Canyon Boulevard for LA Sanitation – City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps.  The project provided increased groundwater recharge, reduced flooding impacts, enhanced water quality, protected compatible beneficial uses, and improved the neighborhood quality of life.  To accomplish this, CWE designed a series of bioretention swales along Laurel Canyon Boulevard between Kagel Canyon Street and Terra Bella Street with curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements.  This project collects over 100 acre-feet annually of stormwater runoff from a 125-acre drainage area.  CWE provided pre-, during, and post-construction support for this project.
