City of Beverly Hills Robertson Boulevard Sidewalk Improvements

CWE is providing sidewalk improvements along one mile on the west side and 0.5 miles on the east side of Robertson Boulevard, from Burton Way to Whitworth Drive, due to aging, subgrade failure, and overgrown tree roots.  Necessary improvements identified include removing and replacing approximately 15% of sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, most of which are close in proximity to existing tree wells; evaluating numerous small driveways to determine if they meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; and nine curb ramps to be reconstructed to meet ADA requirements.  CWE is also working with the City to determine if implementing green street elements is a viable option, per the City’s Stormwater Capital Improvement Program (CIP).  Tasks include conducting meetings; as-built research, investigation, and review; utility research and notification; topographic survey of the sidewalks, driveways, curb ramps, and gutters; preparing preliminary and final Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&Es); preparing monthly summary design reports indicting design job status, schedule updates, and current project costs; and providing engineering support during bid and construction.
