Los Angeles Conservation Corps Compton Creek Natural Park

The Compton Creek Natural Park at Washington Elementary School is a three-acre park located next to the Compton Creek bike path. The park features natural habitat, shade trees, walking paths, grassy areas, picnic areas, parking, fitness equipment, interpretive signage, a community plaza, and a multi-purpose amphitheater. The park also includes features to enhance water quality, such as natural retention basins, bioswales, and a 127,000-gallon underground cistern to store rainwater and irrigate the park.


CWE provided construction support services, including Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Developer and Practitioner (QSD/P) services, cost estimates, and design and evaluation of project elements.
